Russia escalates strikes on Kyiv and Ukrainian targets

Multiple outlets report a sharp escalation in Russia’s campaign against Ukraine, with a Russian drone hitting the headquarters of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) in Kyiv in a rare direct strike on a key government building.[8][9] This attack follows a pattern of intensified assaults on the capital and other cities, further stretching Ukraine’s already limited air-defense capacity and raising fears of more successful strikes on critical infrastructure.
