Russia threatens intensified strikes on Ukraine amid escalating attacks

Russia’s Defence Ministry said it would expand attacks on military facilities, defence-industry sites and related infrastructure in Kyiv and elsewhere in Ukraine. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrived in Kyiv during air-raid sirens and is expected to announce approximately €1 billion in military aid and €350 million for energy-sector repairs.
