Reports describe Russian strikes hitting nine Ukrainian regions, with particularly serious fires at industrial facilities in Odesa and Zaporizhzhia. Ukraine has also indicated it may resume attacks on Russian refineries, raising concern that reciprocal strikes could intensify pressure on civilian infrastructure and widen the conflict’s economic effects. The developments coincide with sharp public criticism of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ahead of a meeting of European leaders, underscoring growing uncertainty over Ukraine’s military and diplomatic position.
