Russian strike on Pryluky kills at least 22

The strike is the most significant breaking development in current global coverage because of its civilian death toll and potential to intensify the war’s escalation. Ukrainian authorities reported that rescuers remained at the scene as the number of casualties rose; separate reporting cited 30 deaths in Russian strikes across eastern Ukraine, though casualty figures and locations vary among outlets. The attacks also damaged homes, industrial facilities and critical infrastructure, while a reported Ukrainian naval-drone strike on an oil tanker near Sochi added to regional tensions.
