Russian strikes hit Kyiv bridge and residential areas

The latest strikes underline the continuing intensity of Russia’s nearly daily attacks on Ukraine, with Kyiv facing damage to key transport infrastructure and civilian areas. Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the Southern Bridge was hit again and that a fire broke out in the upper floors of an apartment building; other parts of the city were also damaged. Ukrainian drone strikes reportedly targeted industrial facilities in Volgograd, including an area near a major oil refinery, injuring one person and starting a fire. The reports could not independently establish the full extent of the damage or casualties.
