The attacks represent a renewed escalation of Russia’s aerial campaign across Ukraine, including strikes reaching western regions previously viewed as less exposed. Ukrainian officials reported casualties and extensive damage in Kharkiv, while explosions and destruction were also recorded near Lviv. Zelenskyy said the assault continued despite an alleged energy ceasefire announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, underscoring the fragility of diplomatic efforts and the immediate risk to civilians and critical infrastructure.[2][3][4][10]
