Ukraine launches largest drone strike yet on Moscow region

Russian authorities say a massive overnight barrage of Ukrainian drones targeted Moscow and nearby areas, in what they describe as the biggest such attack since the full-scale invasion began, leaving at least two dead and hitting oil and logistics sites critical to Russia’s war effort.[6][9][12] The strike comes amid Russia’s tightly controlled parliamentary elections, with officials alleging that Kyiv is seeking to undermine the vote and sow fear among the population.[2][6][9][12] Ukraine’s leadership has increasingly turned to long-range drones and missiles to reach deep into Russian territory, arguing that these operations are legitimate attempts to degrade military and economic infrastructure that supports the invasion.
