A major eruption of Indonesia’s Anak Krakatau volcano has forced flight suspensions, school closures and a halt to local fishing as authorities monitor ash clouds and potential tsunami risks.[1][3] The eruption is affecting a wide region, with the main airport around 150 km away suspending operations and emergency measures activated across coastal communities.[1][3]
