Nepal flood catastrophe remains the world’s biggest crisis

Reports indicate that catastrophic flash floods and mudslides along the Nepal-China border have killed more than 1,300 people, with more than 5,500 still missing. International and Nepali rescue teams are continuing large-scale search, rescue, and humanitarian operations, while the scale of displacement and infrastructure damage makes this one of the most severe disasters currently unfolding anywhere in the world.
