Russia launches mass strikes across Ukraine’s energy network

Ukrainian officials said Russia fired 289 drones, 17 ballistic missiles and 59 cruise missiles, striking power plants and substations from Odesa to Rivne. The assault followed a deadly bombing of an aid-distribution site and left parts of Kyiv and other areas facing severe power problems. The escalation comes shortly before planned US-brokered peace talks in Abu Dhabi, increasing pressure on Kyiv and its allies as the war’s humanitarian and infrastructure costs deepen.
