Catastrophic Himalayan floods leave thousands dead or missing in Nepal

Massive flash floods along the Nepal–Tibet border have killed more than 1,200 people and left around 5,000 missing, triggering a major international rescue and relief effort.[4][8] The disaster has devastated communities, damaged critical infrastructure including a hydropower tunnel, and prompted urgent appeals for aid as rescuers continue to search for survivors.[4][8][10][11]
