Nepal-China flash floods leave over 1,200 dead, thousands missing

Devastating flash floods in Nepal and China have killed at least 1,280 people and left more than 5,620 missing as search and rescue operations enter a second week.[3] The scale of destruction and the prolonged emergency make this one of the deadliest recent climate-related disasters in Asia.[3][5] Authorities and aid agencies are racing to reach isolated communities while the death toll is expected to rise.[3]
