The result could give Eisenkot’s larger opposition grouping the first opportunity to attempt coalition formation, but current projections still point to a difficult path for either side. Turnout was reported at 77.7%, the highest in more than two decades. The election comes amid continuing regional tensions and Israel’s wartime political environment, making the outcome significant for domestic governance, security policy and the country’s wider regional posture.
