The Boeing 737 flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv rapidly lost altitude after the cockpit incident before landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the episode as a serious security incident, while President Donald Trump called the Indian-origin captain, Smit Machchhar, a hero. The reporting remains developing: authorities are investigating the alleged attack, the suspect’s motive, and the precise sequence of events, while flydubai has suspended flights to and from Israel.
