Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation identified the deceased as a Pakistani resident and said the injured were taken to hospitals.[1][3] Reports described the strike as a Houthi attack, while coverage also indicated that King Fahd International Airport in Dammam was attacked separately.[9] The escalation threatens civilian aviation and regional security as Yemen’s government moves to designate the Houthi movement a terrorist organization.[1]
