The strongest continent-wide story is Africa’s push to strengthen economic resilience as governments face debt pressure, trade shocks, and weak growth. UNCTAD says the priorities are diversifying economies, expanding intra-African trade, tightening fiscal policy, and upgrading transport and digital infrastructure. These reforms are aimed at reducing vulnerability to external shocks and improving long-term development. Security risks and conflict remain important, but the most broadly relevant Africa-wide theme is economic stability and transformation.
