SUDAN WAR DRIVES AFRICA INSTABILITY

Sudan’s civil war is the most urgent Africa story because it continues to drive humanitarian suffering, regional instability, and diplomatic pressure across the continent. The conflict has damaged state institutions, disrupted investment and trade, and worsened economic conditions well beyond Sudan. Broader African development is also affected because conflict in one major state can spill into neighboring countries through refugees, insecurity, and weaker growth. International efforts are increasingly focused on stopping the fighting and limiting its wider economic and political fallout.
