African leaders face mounting pressure to stabilize multiple ongoing conflicts in the Horn of Africa, the Sahel, and the Great Lakes, as these wars continue to displace millions and erode regional economies. The new U.S. administration is being urged to prioritize Africa by appointing a special envoy for Sudan and convening a U.S.–Africa business summit to align economic initiatives with security goals. Analysts warn that without urgent de‑escalation, better management of development aid, and structural reforms, Africa risks deeper cycles of violence and stalled economic transformation.
