WILDFIRE ACTIVITY INCREASES ACROSS THE WEST
National Fire Interagency Center reporting says 18 uncontained large fires are burning nationwide, with more than 5,000 personnel assigned. The Santa Rosa Island Fire in Channel Islands National Park and New Mexico's Seven Cabins Fire are among the most notable incidents, with evacuations in effect in some areas.[2]
