HUGE HEROIN HAUL OFF GUJARAT COAST

The Indian Coast Guard says it intercepted a merchant vessel carrying about 1,500 kg of heroin off the Gujarat coast, describing it as the largest single narcotics seizure to date. A joint investigation is underway involving the Coast Guard ship Samudra Pavak, the Intelligence Bureau, police, Customs, Navy, and other agencies. The seizure is being treated as a major anti-smuggling operation, with authorities now examining the vessel, crew, and route.[2]
