More than 7.3 million eligible voters are choosing members of Israel’s 120-seat Knesset. The election is being closely watched because Netanyahu’s leadership has been defined by the October 7 attacks, the ensuing war, and ongoing regional security challenges. The outcome could reshape Israel’s government and influence its policies toward the Palestinians, neighboring states, and international partners. Separately, diplomacy is intensifying across the region, with Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Pakistan, and Iran holding security talks as officials warn that hostilities could reignite.
