Multiple outlets are pointing to renewed conflict involving the Middle East as the key global story, with market fallout already visible in oil prices and shipping risk. CNN reported that global oil prices have returned to $100 per barrel, the highest since July, as fighting in the Middle East raises concerns about prolonged supply disruptions.[4] Other coverage referenced escalating U.S.-Iran tensions and attacks on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, which is one of the world’s most sensitive energy chokepoints.[5]
